We are delighted to announce that leading IT and telecoms company Wytech has become our latest sponsor.
Our managing director, Chloe Maudsley, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Wytech under our Thrive sponsorship programme. Their support enables us to keep working with talented young athletes who have their sights set on representing Great Britain at future world championships.”
Wytech was named the Midlands' IT Services Provider of the year for 2019-20 in the Midlands Enterprise Awards. The company is based in Derbyshire but works with businesses of all sizes across the UK.
Chloe first met Wytech’s digital marketer and social media guru Hannah Ward when she was a teenaged snooker champion. Hannah won the World Women’s Snooker U21 title six times, and achieved a highest world ranking of four on the adult ladies circuit. She has taken a break from the sport to start a family and launch a career in marketing, but plans to return to tournaments in the future.
Her experience gives her a valuable insight into the sacrifices and dedication needed by young people focused on becoming world-class. Now, she and her father, Wytech’s managing director Mark Jones, will be helping talented youngsters make their sporting dreams come true through being a DIS sponsor.
Mark said: "We love the work that DIS does and feel our business closely aligns with DIS in so many ways. We are thrilled to show our support for young talented athletes and happy to work with the DIS to support our team at Wytech with their personal development."
As a Gold sponsor, Wytech and its employees will have access to the DIS team of experts and coaches who support elite athletes and professional sports stars to become world-class. They will all be able to join an online, weekly group exercise session; a monthly ‘lunch and learn’ online health and wellbeing workshop; online physiotherapy screenings; nutrition consultations, a monthly check-in with our sports psychologist and a host of other benefits.
Wytech provides fully-managed IT and telecoms solutions and excels at building bespoke systems and networks. The company was founded in 2004 by Mark and his business partners who are passionate about providing the highest levels of customer service. Wytech aims to completely eliminate any worries businesses may have about their IT and infrastructure.
Reflecting on the similarities between the ethos of DIS and Wytech, Mark added: “DIS takes an holistic, proactive approach to supporting its athletes and has built a strong foundation that enables their athletes to focus on the areas at which they excel. We do the same for our business clients.”
