The meteoric rise of DIS Ambassador, and Amber Valley & Erewash AC golden girl Niamh Emerson is continuing at a rapid rate. This weekend in Glasgow at the European Indoor Championships, Niamh not only continued in the slipstream of eventual Winner Katerina Johnson-Thompson, but became the highest scoring teenager in pentathlon history scoring over 4700 points and securing a Silver medal.
Niamh and her Coach David Feeney, a graduate of the DIS coach mentoring programme, will now be looking forward to the outdoor season and the World Championships in Doha at the end of Summer, with a quiet eye on Tokyo 2020.
