LKAB Minerals signs three-year sponsorship deal with DIS

International company LKAB Minerals Ltd has committed to sponsor us for three years, running up to the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics.

Managing Director of DIS, Chloe Maudsley, said: “This commitment is so valuable to the young athletes we support. This summer we have 10 athletes who have worked with us heading out to the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. Our target is to have even more home-grown talent flying the flag for Team GB and Derbyshire in Paris in 2024.”

Sponsorship from businesses such as LKAB Minerals enables us to support more talented youngsters with services such as nutrition, performance psychology, physiotherapy and strength and conditioning training.

LKAB Minerals process and manufacture minerals in 11 countries around the world, and have a UK Head Office on Raynesway in Derby. LKAB Minerals are a growing supplier of industrial minerals for a range of industries from water treatment to construction.

In May 2021, LKAB Minerals held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of a £2 million renovation and extension of its Raynesway offices that were built in the 1950s. The offices will also reflect LKAB’s values by keeping sustainability as a priority with zero-carbon flooring and low-energy Smart lighting included.
