Its amazing to hear it, but to do it twice is outstanding! Derbyshire Institute of Sport rider Katie Toft has achieved huge success at the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships winning 2 Golds and Silver medal in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
Katie retained her title in the C1 3000m Individual Pursuit and was closely followed by a silver medal in the C1 500m time trial. She then brought home Gold in the Omnium alongside cycling legend Sarah Storey by winning the Scratch race and adding 2 PBs to her list of achievements. Katie is now part of Storey Racing Team who are helping Katie continue on this epic ride!
Katie was thrilled with her performance, "In less than a year I've won five World Championship titles. This would not be possible without the S&C and Physio support I receive from The Derbyshire Institute of Sport, the team make sure my gym sessions are perfectly suited to what I need throughout the year."
